Prof. Fritz Auer
Fritz Auer, born 24th June 1933 in Tübingen, grew up in Kirchentellinsfurt ; married to Ingrid Auer since 1962; one daughter and two sons.
1953-58 studied architecture at Stuttgart Technical University (now Stuttgart University)
1955-56 gained practical experience at Behnisch & Lambart, Stuttgart, working on Vogelsang Elementary School, and continued working at the office during his studies from 1956-58
1958-59 Fulbright and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship for architectural studies at Cranbrook Academy of Arts, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan USA, gaining degree in
1959 Master of Architecture
1959-60 worked at Yamasaki Associates Birmingham, Michigan, USA
1960-64 proceeded his studies and gained his Diploma at Stuttgart Technical University (now Stuttgart University)
1964-66 worked for Günter Behnisch on Droste-Hülshoff High School Freiburg together with Erhard Tränkner, on Josef-Effner High School Dachau and on Grammar School & Sports Facility Rothenburg ob der Tauber, both together with Winfried Büxel.
1966 Fritz Auer together with Winfried Büxel, Erhard Tränkner and Karl-Heinz (Carlo) Weber became partner at Behnisch & Partner
1968 moved to Munich
1974 moved back to Stuttgart
1979 left the partnership of Behnisch & Partner together with Carlo Weber
1980 founded the office Auer+Weber GbR, Stuttgart/Munich together with Carlo Weber.
1985-92 Professor for Building Construction and Design of Munich University of Applied Sciences
1993-2001 Professor for Design of Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design
since 1993 Member of the Academy of Arts, Berlin, section architecture
2006 Founding Partner of Auer+Weber+Assoziierte GmbH Stuttgart/Munich
1998-2013 Member at the architectural advisory boards of the cities Regensburg, Landshut, Nuremberg and Constance
